What is the Overseas Market Research Support?

Overseas Market Research Support is an export incentive program offered by the Turkish Ministry of Trade. This support facilitates and strengthens the competitive position of companies aiming to expand into new markets or enhance their presence in existing ones.

What Does the Support Cover?

Turkish companies engaging in commercial activities can receive up to 50% reimbursement for their international and intercity travel expenses related to overseas business trips. As of 2025, the maximum support per trip is 379,455 TL, with accommodation costs covered up to 9,486 TL per day per person.

What Are the Conditions?

The support covers the travel and accommodation expenses of up to two employees per company for business trips lasting between 2 and 10 days, exclusively for market research purposes. This includes international and intercity transport costs, including car rentals. However, companies must conduct at least one business meeting per day during their stay abroad. Accommodation costs for days without meetings will not be covered.

Additionally, for trips extending beyond 10 days, support is available for up to 20 days, but only for transportation expenses (flights to and from Turkey). Accommodation costs beyond 10 days are not covered.

A company can receive support for up to two research trips to the same country per year.

Multiple countries can be visited within a single market research trip. However, if more than three countries are included, only expenses for the first three countries will be covered.

Companies can utilize the overseas market research support up to five times per year, with a total limit of 20 trips.

Companies must not have an office in the country where the business meetings are conducted.

The support applies only to economy-class transportation tickets.

All expenses must be paid via bank transfer or credit card.

When to Apply?

Applications must be submitted through the Exporters' Association’s Digital Management System (DYS) within three months of the employee’s return to Turkey.

Additional Benefits

Companies that qualify under the women entrepreneur category receive an additional 20% support for trips to target countries.
